Brittany Homcha, MD

Dr. Homcha’s surgical skills and dedication to patient care are now available to residents of the Shoals, providing access to specialized hand surgery and comprehensive orthopaedic expertise.

Her journey towards becoming an orthopaedic surgeon began with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, cum laude, from Washington & Jefferson College, where she also concentrated in Professional Writing. This passion for science and communication has set the foundation for her career.

Having earned her Doctor of Medicine from Penn State University College of Medicine, Dr. Homcha completed her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Her interest in hand surgery then led her to further her knowledge at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she completed an Orthopaedic Hand Surgery Fellowship. While Dr. Homcha has specialized in hand surgery, she remains involved in treating a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Homcha enjoys exploring the area with her husband and their four dogs. They appreciate spending time on the lake, cycling on the Natchez Trace Parkway, and volunteering with the local animal shelter.

“I am genuinely glad to be here serving in this thriving community,” said Dr. Homcha. “My passion for orthopaedics extends to all aspects of musculoskeletal health, and I am eager to contribute to the health and well-being of the Shoals community.”
