Dr. Homcha’s journey towards becoming a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon began with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, cum laude, from Washington & Jefferson College, where she also concentrated in Professional Writing. Her dedication to both science and communication has set the foundation for her outstanding career.

Having earned her Doctor of Medicine from Penn State University College of Medicine, Dr. Homcha completed her Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Her passion for hand surgery then led her to further her knowledge at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where she recently completed an Orthopaedic Hand Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Homcha’s unwavering commitment to lifelong learning ensures that her patients receive the most advanced treatments available, not only for hand-related issues but for all orthopaedic injuries.

While Dr. Homcha is renowned for her expertise in hand surgery, it’s essential to highlight her versatility in treating a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. Her proficiency extends beyond hand surgery, ensuring that the Shoals community has access to a well-rounded orthopaedic specialist.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Homcha enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She shares her love for the outdoors with her husband and three rescue dogs.
